When I’m writing there’s only a few things I MUST have: laptop, story notebook, caffeine and music.
Many authors, and other kinds of artists I know all say that music is such a big influence in their creative process, and that holds double true for me! For me, I build playlists for each book I am working on, even for individual characters and work in progress projects.
I’ve written many scenes to a certain song, used specific songs and musicians to help me hear my character’s voices more clearly.
